I am open to suggestions of tools and sites that you would like to learn more about, or if you have something that you feel is amazing and more people need to know about, let me know! I'll be happy to break it down for others. I love exploring new tools for our primary kids.
I feel a lot of time we (primary teachers) tend to migrate to the flashy, cute graphics, and lots of color apps/websites for our students, because we think that's what they need. The question is, due they? Do they need that to keep their attention? The answer is no. No, they don't. Sure, games are fun, but students do not need to play games to use technology.
We also sell our primary students short thinking because they are young, they are not able to use something. However, our students are more capable of using technology than we give them credit for. One of my goals is to break down tools/sites for you to learn how to use to become more comfortable with, so you can teach your own students how to use them.
Here are some of the sites I will break down in the future. I plan on designating one post per site.
- What is it?
- How much does it cost?
- How do I use it?
- Are my littles too young for this?
